Examining the Impact of Yemen’s Conflicts on Yemeni Minorities
A two-phase research project focusing on minority and marginalized communities in Yemen.
The project produced a series of in-depth policy reports examining the historical background, social and economic conditions, and conflict-related impacts on selected communities, including gendered experiences, displacement, access to services, and violations of rights.
The research also analyzed how discrimination and exclusion have intensified during the conflict, in the context of weakened governance, rule of law, and the rise of armed actors, and explored implications for social cohesion and intercommunal relations.
In addition to the reports, the project produced a series of publications that elevated minority experiences in national and international forums and contributed to policy discussions on inclusion, protection, and social cohesion in Yemen.
