Gender Analysis for Progressive Policy in Yemen
This research and advocacy project examined the effects of the war on gender relations and access to services in Yemen, seeking to instill a gender lens in policy debates and programmatic planning processes. By generating gender-specific data and high-quality gender-focused analysis, it assessed how conflict reshaped gender relations and power dynamics at the local level. The project informed policies, the UN-led peace process, and programming in Yemen by identifying ways to address gender gaps created by conflict dynamics and promoting successful gender-empowering models. It also provided insights on how to create strategic platforms for women to be empowered and engage effectively.
