Abdelrazzaq al-Jamal is a Yemeni journalist and researcher specializing in Al-Qaeda in Yemen since 2006.
He is one of few Yemeni journalists to have interviewed senior AQAP leaders in Yemen, for both television and print media. Between 2011-2012, he traveled to Abyan and Shabwa when parts of the governorates were under AQAP control, staying there for eight months to cover developments in the battles between AQAP and the Yemeni army.
Al-Jamal has authored several articles, reports and research papers on AQAP published in local and foreign newspapers and research centers, and conducted interviews with AQAP leaders broadcast on local television channels and published in regional media.
