Marine Poirier is a CNRS researcher in political science at Aix-Marseille University in France – IREMAM (Institute of Research and Studies on the Arab and Muslim Worlds). She lived in Yemen from 2007 to 2011 and defended her PhD dissertation on the former ruling party (GPC) in 2016. Since 2018, she has studied the transformation of the Yemeni ruling class in the context of political crisis and armed conflict.
