Dr. Esham Al-Eryani holds a Ph.D. in Political Philosophy. She is the Executive Director of the Academic Foundation for Strategic Studies, Development and Human Rights in Yemen. Dr. Al-Eryani has participated in the discussions and approval of the women’s rights draft legislation in Yemen’s new constitution and in the civil society assessment of the national plan to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security (WPS). She is also a founding member of the Peace Partners Alliance and part of the Group of Nine.
