The Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator for Transitional Justice to support coordination and collaboration among Yemeni and international civil society organizations. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Sana’a Center and human rights organizations to advance justice priorities defined by Yemeni actors.

Background and Objectives:
The Program Coordinator will support Yemeni civil society efforts towards justice and reconciliation by amplifying Yemeni-led advocacy demands for a just, inclusive, and sustainable peace.
The Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies seeks a consultant associate to support its communication and coordination work with Yemeni and international civil society through the YJN, working to advance justice and reconciliation in Yemen.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator will work closely with four thematic expert teams (political, economic, transitional justice and environment) and the core coordination team to carry out the following:
- Organize the joint activities between Yemeni and international civil society within the YJN.
- Monitor and work on institutionalizing the Justice Network.
- Support building local ownership of justice and reconciliation efforts.
- Organize and facilitate regular coordination calls involving the members of the YJN. This includes managing participatory agenda-setting, composing summary notes, arranging follow-up, and other related administrative tasks.
- Coordinate effective information sharing amongst Yemeni and international participants.
- Liaise with and facilitate engagement between Yemeni and international CSOs and key UN, governmental, and multilateral actors and donors.
- Join the Justice and Reconciliation Team and report to the team’s Senior Researcher.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, international law, human rights, transitional justice, political science, or any related program (or equivalent work experience).
- Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience with global advocacy, network coordination, capacity building and partnership management.
- Familiarity with justice and human rights issues in Yemen/MENA region is highly desirable.
