Sara Al-Zawqari is a communications professional with over 15 years of experience shaping narratives across the Middle East and North Africa. She currently serves as Chief of Communications for the UNICEF Gulf Area Office, where she has led regional communication strategies that amplify children’s voices, strengthen donor visibility, and drive social impact.

With a background as both a journalist and humanitarian spokesperson, Al-Zawqari is known for transforming complex issues into powerful, accessible stories. Her work has spanned conflict zones in Iraq, Syria, Libya, South Sudan, Yemen, and beyond, where she has managed teams of storytellers, trained influencers, and guided high-level partnerships. She continues to pioneer innovative approaches to storytelling that blend traditional media with digital-first strategies.

Al-Zawqari holds a Master’s in International Journalism from the University of Westminster and a BFA in Visual Communications from the American University of Dubai.
