About the platform

The Red Sea Dialogues (RSD) is an independent platform that places Yemen at the heart of regional discussions on Red Sea security.

Amid rising geopolitical competition, increasing militarisation, the obstruction of freedom of navigation, and the proliferation of non-state armed actors in the Red Sea and the surrounding region, the RSD convenes Yemeni, regional, and international experts, alongside policymakers and political actors, to address shared challenges and identify opportunities for cooperation.

The RSD promotes inclusive, accountable, and sustainable approaches to regional security and governance. It aims to elevate the perspectives of communities most affected by conflict, militarization, and exclusion to inform and shape discussions on security governance.
