Adel Dashela is a researcher at the Sana’a Center and a lecturer and interdisciplinary scholar with a focus on transitional justice and Yemeni affairs. He is currently a Visiting Researcher at the University of Turku, Finland, and previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia Global Centers Amman, Columbia University. His research focuses on post-conflict transitional justice, with particular attention to tribal dynamics in Yemen. He has published numerous research papers and articles and is the author of The Houthi Movement and the Yemeni Tribe, 2011–2020. He is also a regular contributor and commentator on Yemeni affairs in international and local media.
