Just Environmental Transition in Yemen

Past 2025 — 2025

This project explores the principles of a just environmental transition in Yemen, with a focus on the role of civil society in advancing environmental justice, sustainable development, and inclusive governance.

The research maps the landscape of environmental civil society organizations and initiatives in Yemen, examining their contributions to addressing challenges such as water scarcity, energy transition, food security, and climate resilience. It also identifies opportunities to strengthen participation, accountability, and good governance in environmental decision-making.

By highlighting local perspectives and experiences, the project contributes to broader discussions on how environmental and climate policies can promote equitable outcomes, protect livelihoods, and support a just transition for communities affected by environmental and economic change.
