Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies and Robert Bosch Stiftung invite you to join a panel discussion on “‍Red Sea Hostilities: Risks to Yemen’s Peace Process and Regional Security”

The ongoing Houthi attacks against shipping in the Red Sea have upended efforts to move toward a peace settlement in Yemen, impacted the global economy, and carry the risk of further escalation that would negatively impact Yemen and the region.

Red Sea hostilities have not only halted progress to establish a UN-led roadmap for peace, but they further destabilise the country’s already fragile economy and drastically limit international humanitarian efforts to ward off starvation and address endemic poverty. While Yemen is the country currently feeling the primary effects of the conflict, neighbouring states in the Red Sea and the Middle East are also contending with risks to their political, economic, and environmental stability.
