The Rethinking Yemen’s Economy project works to positively influence the agendas of local, national, regional, and international policymakers and engages in economy-related conflict resolution. It provides a platform for the Development Champions Forum to engage in consensus-building on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, stabilization, post-conflict reconstruction, and sustainable development in Yemen. The Forum has been active since 2017 and has developed into a well-established platform.

The project aims to build and sustain progress towards inclusive and sustainable development and peace. Its approaches include establishing and supporting an institutionalized and independent Development Champions Forum (DCF); strengthening the capacities of its members to influence economic peacebuilding processes and development agendas at international, national, and regional levels; and improving evidence-based research and providing recommendations on socio-economic and political developments in Yemen.

The project facilitates inclusive Yemeni engagement in economic peacebuilding and strengthens understanding of key policy areas related to Yemen’s economic recovery and development.
