Supporting a Localized, Inclusive and Sustainable Peace in Yemen

Ended 2022 — 2026

This four-year program supports the participation of Yemeni experts, civil society actors, women, and youth in peacebuilding and policy discussions related to Yemen’s future. It combines research, knowledge production, dialogue, and capacity strengthening to support more informed and inclusive approaches to peacebuilding.

The program generates locally grounded analysis and policy recommendations on issues related to peace, governance, economic recovery, reconciliation, and environmental challenges. It works with Yemeni researchers, practitioners, civil society organizations, youth and women leaders, and policy actors, while facilitating engagement with national, regional, and international stakeholders.

The program operates through two complementary tracks. The Peace Incubator convenes Yemeni and international experts through thematic communities of practice focused on political transformation, economic recovery, transitional justice, and environment and water, supporting collaborative research, policy development, and knowledge exchange. The Yemen Peace Forum supports youth, women, and civil society actors through training, mentorship, small grants, and policy engagement opportunities, strengthening their knowledge, networks, and participation in peacebuilding and governance discussions at local, national, and international levels.
